The Publication
The Lauraville Pet Gazette was founded in the spring of 2026 by a neighbor who had, once again, witnessed something that deserved to be entered into the record: namely, a cat taking a third dinner it had not been offered at a barn on a local property, and doing so with complete indifference to the moral implications.
It was then observed that Lauraville, a neighborhood of considerable character populated by animals of even greater character, possessed no proper paper of record for such matters.
The Gazette is published online monthly, posted on bulletin boards throughout Lauraville, and distributed free to whoever happens upon it. It accepts tips from residents, witnesses, and other concerned parties. It is open, in principle, to advertising and other modest beer-money opportunities. It is founded on a lasting commitment to the dogs, cats, and other creatures whose affairs merit public notice.
We publish without bias. We publish without mercy. We publish at the beginning of each month.
